You need to sit down and write a firm but not nasty letter to Infiniti.uncbeers wrote: repairSo the Infiniti 1-800 people pretty much rejected me today (background to this story here: http://forums.g35club.org/zerothread/360247)
They said the dealer could provide at least reputable evidence my car was "tampered with by non-Infiniti people." She said I could go one step up the Automotive Association (or whatever the BBB of the dealership is called) and also get a copy of the diagnostic from the dealership but not the proof they provided because it was 'proprietary.'
Not sure if it is worth it at this point to go any further. The biggest thing hurting me at this point is the fact it is pre-owned and I can't say much for it's life before me. I'd give them the AC maybe having been tampered with but the fact that at least one of the rear doors worked and then quit working while under my possession is what irks me.
Heath is right. Only way to win in this situation if you start pressing step by step. Don't be harsh tho. They will get sick of you soon and they give up.Q451990 wrote:Keep fighting... ask to talk to the owner of the dealership, or the regional service manager... whatever it takes. They should either provide proof ("proprietary information" be damned) or the repair.
I have found that nicely but firmly pressing them until you get what you want will typically work. Eventually they will view it as a matter of "is it worth it just to make this guy go away..."

Agreed. Keep the high road in the conversation, but be persistent.Q451990 wrote:Keep fighting... ask to talk to the owner of the dealership, or the regional service manager... whatever it takes. They should either provide proof ("proprietary information" be damned) or the repair.

Your right, Firmness and patience. Maybe if you have any lawyer friends they may be able to write a letter to cooperate. A high quality well respected body shop should be able to give you an unbiased second opinion if there have been body repairs. Did you have to have it looked at for your insurance?Q451990 wrote:Keep fighting... ask to talk to the owner of the dealership, or the regional service manager... whatever it takes. No-it was just stuff I figured should be covered with the warranty. However, my A/C and rear doors are mysteriously not between my front bumper and my rear bumper.SteveTheTech wrote:

I understand and appreciate your help. I am going to first get the diagnostics report she told me to seek from the service manager. Maybe there will be some info on there that will push me one way or another. I just feel like this could be a non-stop circle turning into 'he said, she said.'SteveTheTech wrote:I would say to try calling the manager, customer relations should email them your details. Let them know what's up and they should be able to help.
I cannot really make a claim either way though without looking at your car, so don't take my word too seriously it's an observation.
