Ok, so on my commute to work today @ about 90mph (standard Jersey speed), something splattered on the top left of my windshield. Figured it was a bug, or maybe a bird clipped the top of my car. At lunch for some reason I checked the front of Gianna and found her feeding on what was left of a bird.

Sorry for the quality, camera phone...

That bird was in there pretty good. Those slots on the grill are quite tight, and that bird (not a tiny bird) fit itself halfway in!!! I tried getting it out, and half of it fell into the engine bay. Thanks to Infiniti's lower engine bay guard I had to go in and get it. Looked like a scene from Aliens in there.

Anyway, that was fun clean up. But then I got to install my new subs and amp, so it made up for it. Posted that in the audio forum.

I hit a bird with my Saab just before I sold it. I think I hit himaround 70 and it was distroyed. Looked lot worse then yours. I hit it with the corner of the hood. When I stopped all I found is a big chuunk of bone and few feathers.

EXACTLY what I was thinking!!

I had a bird fly out of a corn field and hit the mag of my 88 Bronco II.I heard it go TINK and saw it in the rear view spinning around in the road.

Also took out a bunny in my neighbor's MR2.... it ran out in front of me, stopped and stuck his head straight up! Looked like a chocolate Easter bunny! Should have ducked, instead went THUD....also looked like it was break dancing in the rear view!!

That looks like a mess, good and fresh too.

I have had dead birds drop on my head on more than one occasion. There is nothing like taking the front cover down to do an oil change and a dead creature decides to drop in an say HI. Awesome was to start a day.

I remember one time when I worked on a tire store in the country and this guy came in to get tires and an alignment and he apparently hit a coyote and the better half of it was wrapped around the front suspension and driveshaft. Absolute worse thing I have ever seen.

Once I was driving with a friend who owned a LeBaron, which will forever be known to me as a death mobile. She was one of those white knuckle drivers who wouldn't swerve to save her grandmother.

On a 3 hour trip with a full car, she hit 4 things. 3 of which I'm pretty sure were already dead. 1 of those dead things happened to have been sitting on that road (rarely traveled back road) for a few days in the summer heat. It also happened to be a full size adult doe, that was now a double size adult doe due to the natural decomposition process.

To save some details, she hit it, and it exploded quite literally. It was EVERYWHERE. She wouldn't even take her hands off the wheels long enough to turn on the wipers and attempt to remove some of the 'parts' that were now bonded to the windshield.

After we finally convinced her to pull over, we saw the damage. The car was intact, but there was 3 day old baked dead deer all over the car, and half of it was dragged under the car for miles.

I can never look at LeBaron's the same. I'm still thankful to this day that we chose to keep the top on the convertible up.

HA! When I noticed that my G was enjoying that bird, I was halfway through a burrito myself. Not a good time to see what happens to small creatures at high speeds...

It was chopped steak too...

Lol, talk about coincidence. Mine was steak too, with sour cream, salsa, and guac. It was actually the best burrito I've had yet and I even went back to tell the guy it was the best and I had to do it in Spanish, that's how good it was. Haven't used Spanish in awhile, hopefully he got the point.

I was driving in my uncles Honda Ridgeline on a service road going about ~50-60 MPH and hit a bird that flew out in front of us. All we saw from inside was a cloud of feathers explode in front of us. When we stopped to check to see if there was any damage to the front of the truck, we were boggled to see that there was zero evidence of anything hitting the front of the truck.

Good for you. Mine was awful. Way too much cilantro. Hate cilantro. I asked if they used cilantro, they said no. LIARS

Did I mention that while attempting to enjoy half of my chopped steak burrito in a red pepper sauce, I tried to separate the bird from my grill with a pen? Yeah, it separated alright, but not completely. Did you know that birds have quite a long intestinal system compared to their size? I know I sure didn't.

That burrito just didn't taste the same after that.

Oh, and the splatter that hit the top left of my windshield was it's a$$ exploding. Chew on that.

i saw a bird hopping in the middle of the road in the spring last year. I was driving my old mountaineer because we were moving furniture to my friends new apartment. The bird was hopping and i swerved out of the way. It hopped towards the car and under my tire. My friend screaming hysterically because the bird was quite large goes go back an lets look at it. So i turn around and head back over and he gets out and collapses onto the ground screaming

Over and over. When he realizes that it isnt dead yet he convinces me to run it over again to put it out of its misery.

I hit a racoon in my G last month or so = new front end kit , not so bad, just cracked the front bumper in 3 spots, and ripped the under carrige off.

One time I pulled over when driving my 1st gen Altima, the girlfriend was with me in the passenger seat.

I exited the car to tighten the straps on my surfboard (hwy driving) and noticed a little mouse running accross the road.

I said to my Girlfriend, hey Megan, look at the little mouse, no sooner did I say that, and a tractor trailer came flying by, clipped the little mouse and send him running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

She obviously didn't hear me, because she's still sitting there like, "what did you say"? So, I take a glance over to see how the fuzzy critter is making out, (still wacked), and I say, Oh, nothing.

Just as I've finished tightening the straps, I see the mouse get clocked again, this time smooshed all over the road.

By this time I'm moving again, and the girlfriend's like, So what was that all about?

I did tell her what happened, but left out the final grueling details.
