Finally, got around to going to get it inspected. Passed the V6 emmissions test easily. Got it all stickered up, so now I am legal. After 1500 miles, about time. Blew very clean with no issues.
So this should pass in Cali or whereever, but you'd have to leave the egr n all that there.
Thought some might find this post useful. I love this car.

So did you have your stock 300zx cats in? No cats at all? I'm interested as I will need to have my S13 inspected as soon as it's on the road with the VH in it.

It has new highflow cats, and mufflers from its last owner. only egr and aib are inop.
passed the v6 smog test as a v8 no issues.
