And, gun control. If you guys really want to get me going, please please please PLEASE talk about gun control. I have a Class III Firearms License, my EIN is 222526, and the DIN I was working for was 59745. I'm currently trying to work on getting a S&W M&P15 FT with an EOTech 553.A65/1.. But, that's a lot of money to save up for, and with elections right around the corner, I better get it fast before assault rifles are gone completely.

Just a little picture of my gun collection so far, not including my pistols. So, you can say, I'm pro-gun. A little.

I was scrolling down to rant, Jager saved me the trouble. A true "assault rifle" is capable of fully automatic fire, hold the trigger and it will empty the mag. The "assault rifles" that make headlines are just semiautomatics that look the part, a pistol can fire as fast. The main difference between the psudo assault rifles and average autoloading hunting rifles is the high capacity magazine. If you want it to fire fast it's up to you to pull the trigger bud, it isn't a military weapon. I like guns, I think the anitigun people don't get it and don't care too, friggin touchy feely liberals who think crime will go away magically. It doesn't work. I think our buddy in Canada on the bus successfully demonstrated that people will kill regardless of gun distribution and I can tell you knife violence in Japan is epedemic. People are sick evil ****s, it's just how it is.I do think guns are a bit too easy to get though. I see no need for a 30 round bananna clip for your AK47 replica either. I would like to see all manner of semiautomatic weapons available but I would limit mag capacity on long guns to 5 rounds and outlaw jacketed ammo in any weapon for all but law enforcement. Billy Bob hunter doesn't need these things, no kevlar wearing deer out there and at best you are going to get one aimed shot and a hail mary at em.

I love long mags only for the hand hold, only if it doesn't come with full wrap around railing system, like an AK w/o a wooden front handle. But, I much prefer Bolt Action rifles anyway, they're way more accurate, and more fun to shoot, anyway.

I like the look too, fill 15 rounds of space with something so it only holds 5.

Only my Yugo SKS and my AK are non-bolt action. But, I have an affinity for long rifles. Curio and Relic war rifles, long guns. They all have to have slings so that I can fire them, only the S&W that I am looking at getting has the full rail so that I can get a hand grip, and I don't want to take apart the AK just to get a handgrip. I hate the plastic and the polymer accessories for AKs.. they just look cheap. I love the wooden look. It's hard to find Picatinny rails for an AK, though, you actually have to have them mounted, or be creative.

And, the SKS only fits the 10 rounds into it. You can't remove the mag, and the clip is just a small little band that you slide the round into and it fits into the chamber behind the action and the slide, and you just push them into the self contained mag and the little clip comes out.

so you are a lady who is into cars and guns? Say you like beer and other girls and 14 dudes will have fansites devoted to you by tomorrow!

I can't get a gun here unfortunately. Probably better anyway, I have a terrible temper and am fully capabale of killing another human being in a moment of anger. I do love shooting though. We used to have a range that i could rent weaopns and let fly but it's gone now. They had a sweet little short slide .45 than was fun as hell to shoot.

The only beer I drink is if it's dark, heavy, and you can't see through it. And, as for the girls thing.. I haven't actually done anything with another girl since Dubai, and that was my last deployment. So, I'm not sure if there's a time constraint for that sort of thing. *shrug* I enjoy looking, I guess. As far as the devotion, no thanks!

I've got my favorites as far as guns go. I like Glock, but my heart lies with H&K. I am German through and through. I'm of German decent, my name is German, I look German, I love German food, and the only drawback is that I don't know enough German language to actually hold a conversation. (DAMN!) But, my wet dream gun.. and I do mean fantasy gun, is a PSG-1. I want a real one, not a remake, but a certified H&K PSG-1. My god.. that gun is so hot.My latest fascination that is affordable is the new 45 they put out, though.. it's so nice to hold, and it fires like silk. No bite, no pull, very little snap back, and the trigger follow through is damned near instantaneous. The trigger pull is about 5 lbs, which is a little more hefty for some people. But, I think it's dead sexy.

Okay, it's safe to say this thread has strayed from the topic. I think TMS and I jacked it.

Okay.. as for the 1911.. that's one sexy gun. I love the original Combat Commanders. It's hard to find them in really good shape, though.

And, the problem with the Barret.. is that it's not this one..

sorry i gotta go with this bad, boy, my carry weapon.

the h&k is nice though, just doesnt feel "great" in my hand, the 1911 does, wish rock made their 3.5 inch version with an 8 rd mag/grip rather then the 7, just a bit too short for comfort

Just get a mag extension. Tell me what type of mag you're using.. usually 1911s are standard. Unless you're using a Kimber, Kimbers are finicky and use their own mag. They're usually high cap single stack, or they tend to be high cap alt stack thin grip. Kimbers are so weird. I don't like them for the 500 round break in period. That's just too damned much for me. Especially since ammo is so expensive these days. Don't get me wrong, I like shooting, but breaking in a gun with 500 rounds.. and then not really being able to trust the accuracy of the shot until 1000 rounds.. yeah, not my fave.

This is my CWP. Ugly son of a beech, kicks like a horse, but the 9x18 round will hurt a whole hell of a lot more than any 9x19. Plus, the Commie grips with the inlaid blood is always a plus.

[Edit: And, then, to boot. They're just too damned expensive. But, they are hand built. And pretty to look at, that's for sure. If you like pretty guns. Like an Erma Werke.]

one of my favorites: in all it's "anger a liberal" glory.

some of the others:

Weatherby Vanguard in 300 winchester Shortmag: (<-- hence my screen name )S&W 629 classic in 44mag:Glock 19 (top) & Glock 21sf (bottom)

I also reload for most the calibers i shoot. except the russian guns of which it's just as cheap to buy bulk.

some of the Ruskie stuff is mildly corrosive...which reminds me that I need to clean my SKS and Nagant again..

for the price of a Mak now...I'd be almost tempted to pic up a Stey M-1A pistol...they're found cheap and a VERY nice gun.

Kimber's use a standard magazine. I used 47D's in mine just fine.

The 500 shot break-in is true for any gun. Get a Glock, it's trigger will be gritty and tight just the same.

As for accuracy, my Kimber was a tack driver. If you are having accuracy problems after 1000 rounds, then it's the shooter. The crappiest of 1911's will shoot plenty accurate for self-defense. No one engages in 50 yard shoot-outs with pistols.
