i have a 01 maxima and its overall in good shape except this electrical problem im having.

my car will turn off on the road while im driving and shut all power off. and i have to pull over, pop the hood, and mess with the fusable link, and tighten the battery cable, then my car will have power again and i can turn it back on.

at first i thought it was the alternator so i got a brand new one....turns out its not that at all.the battery has juice in it.. i even charged it a little more.

so the only thing i am left with is the cables that go to the battery from alternator and all those other cables connected.

they look old and they probably arent putting enough power.

because of this problem my window stopped working. my power seat wont move foreward anymore but will move the top back and fourth...and it makes my headlights dim really bad at night when i press on the window button to open my windows....

has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

and would any of you know how to fix this?

Your ground cable might not be grounded well.

you need a NEW battery man...and clean your cables with COKA COLA and a tooth brush...you should be good to go.

replace your fuses for all your "accessories"...just do it b/c they are cheap!!

Don't clean battery contacts with coke.

Use baking soda and water. No scrubbing required.

my battery has been in the car since i bought it.... i havent had it over 2 years.i charged the battery overnight once to make sure it wasnt the battery and its still having problems.

i think it may be the cables that go to the battery from alternator and maybe ground cables too.... what you guys think?

I replace my battery every 5 years whether it needs it or not. Cheap insurance since I live in Wisconsin. If you think the cables might be bad, replace them. You're probably talking about $30 and 30 minutes of your time. If that ain't it, replace the battery or have it thoroughly tested.
