.....has anyone ever used/modded a toyota CT26 turbo from a 89-94 toyota supra to work on a SR. I just picked up a mint one for 60 bucks, yup you heard me right 60 bucks. So I am debating to fab this to work on the SR (I have the resources) or to just clean it up, and sell it? either way it was totally win win for me also can you use fwd SR20 valve seals on a rwd one? and what valves can you use? tried searching the parts thread but no luck, thanks guys!

Ok, I'll be the first to say it, Why? Why would you attempt to put that on? I dunno, to me it's not worth the time/effort to put on a turbo that you'll have to completely fab up everything for and still have a max power ceiling at 300hp. It would be cheaper and more cost effective to go with an s14 or s15 t28 which will net you the same amount of power and be completely bolt on.

Now, if you want to be different, then go for it, just something I myself wouldn't do... Just not worth the time/effort/investment to me.

60 bucks thats why, 60 > 800 for a gt28! seriously I wasnt looking for this turbo or had any intention of putting it on the sr, but 60 bucks for it, I couldnt refuse, and since I need a turbo, I thought whats it going to hurt to try to fab it up? and if not I'll just sell it and make 3 times what I paid for it at least right?

woah...

ok that exhaust flange is unusual. so when you say "I have the resources" to fab this to work, what do you mean?

this turbo is old, it will either fail on you or get boring really fast. the custom manifolds will be for naught.

instead be more creative.

the KKK k27.2 is the perfect sr20det turbo and its a twinscroll for 350 shipped. quick spool and a nice compressor map.

some are internally gated, others are not. find one that suites you.

thats my 2 cents, dont invest so much effort into a 19 year old turbo.
