I finally put LED's in my grill, here are some pics, and how I installed it:Below is with the daytime running lights on and the HIDS off.Yes I also have HIDS, 6000k with daytime running lights(I will post the install in a new topic)

Now the brief install process: I tapped it into the parking clearance lamp wires as shown.I have a switch so I can shut it off when the parking lights are on.

Really like the look, it is very bright, and the leds are well hidden. I would also wonder about the legality of it, atleast when you are driving, seems like some Cops would have something to say about it. But good job, and great look.

Not positive on CA laws, but probably the same as US (assuming emergency vehicles us blue lights), but they would be completely illegal to turn on while on public streets. Show only.

Yeah in CA those wouldn't be legal....ESPECIALLY in a blue and or red. I have to say that I like it alot though, good job!

nice how it leaks out just a bit into the corners of the headlight assembly to light up the bottoms edges

Some states prohibit any color of light shining forward on a vehicle other than white. (Yes that means Kitt would be illegal.) Some states reserve blue for law enforcement and prohibit any vehicle from displaying blue light. In Texas and possibly a few other states it is illegal for any non LE car to mount any blue lights, even if they aren't connected to power.

Best bet would be to have these lights on a separate switch to turn on when parked or showing. Since they are concealed, the "No Blue" rules shouldn't be much problem, unless a cop sees them turned on.

A toggle switch is in the making. So far I passed a few cops already and they did not pull me over, yet. But if it happens, I'll send you the ticket in the mail........lol

That's pretty sweet; and I don't normally like added "effect" lights.

I really wanted to hate it. But I found myself liking it. Hope the cops feel the same way. Cuz there aint no way that's legal.

Here is New Mexico, our state allows any color but red, which is the color of leds I have been adding inside. The officer I asked said red is ok as long as it isnt visible from the front only.

Im not knocking it! its a good system AND the wattage requirements shouldnt be too invasive to on a reasonable inverter.

actually it kept blowing out my inverters for some reason. would work for a while then quit till i got a new inverter. funny thing is i could run a drill on the inverter but not a ps1. the box said it could handle a wii and 13' tv. but not a ps1? but found that sony made a dc power adapter for the ps1. came across 1 and picked it up. pretty hard to find item, but now ps1 works well. only time it may suck to have it is when changing the cabin air filter but think i have enough excess cord to do it no prob.
