  1989-1998 240sx: Flooding tutorial

What causes flooding running with very bad timing, leaking injectors, bad maf or trying and failing to start car, etc.

What to do if car floods- remove the egi pump relay and disconnect the four electrical connectors at the 4 injectors. Then start car. Disconnecting the fuel pump relay(egi pump relay) is not good enough because there is already fuel in the lines. If you are really flooded, you will have to remove sparkplugs and allow gas to evaporate which may take along time.

You'll need adjustable pliers to pull out relays or strong fingers.

Caution pistons cannot compress a liquid so can be damaged if there is too much gas in liquid form. also, the gas removes the oil on cylinders walls. it might be adviseable to pour a teaspoon of oil into each cylinder.

 « Re: 1989-1998 240sx: Flooding tutorial (vancouverbc)

I got a much bigger problem now.
I decided to upgrade by fuel injectors on my s14. I plugged them in everything seemed fine. but then the engine flooded with gasoline. and i didnt know this had happend. so i kept trying to start the car over and over again, and it was making some weird noise. so i checked the oil and it was filled with GAS!.so i drained the oil and about 2 gallons of gas came out the oil pan. i didnt know what to do, sooo i decided to put new oil back into the oil pan and start the car. Then i changed my fuel injectors back to stock. now The car starts up for about 5 seconds and then dies off, and theres a bunch of smoke coming out by the valve and head. Im not sure what exactly i blew, but its white smoke and theres allot of it. And theres oil coming out the exhaust mixed with gas. I dont think the head blew cuz the coolant is perfectly fine If anyone could help i would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.
