Down to business: Do you think there's any chance of it having been in the custom pickup tube fab? Between you and Craig having major oiling issues with custom setups, I've begun to worry.
And on a sappy note, just in case you up and run out of here, THANK YOU for your pioneering and contributions to the VH/Z32 swap. You have certainly paved the way for my and probably everyone else's similar project. You, sir, deserve major credit.
I too say thank you. For I am the one who started in Jan, right behind you, and followed a lot of your info. Our Problems help others, when they are in the same boat., or Z or whatever.
I understand why you are selling it. I am only selling mine for my son. Build and sell, build and sell, bays the bills, makes me and a lot of people happy.
The oiling. When I post a pic of the pan, that caused the oiling issue, you will undestand. Lack of supply, and------------- force made it too hard to get it THAT far forward. More supply SOLVED the problem, as I ran it from a dead stop pretty well, into 5th.
I am though making a new pan tomorrow, and tring to deside of rear sump, or mod it like Nick did, where it keeps the pickup tube stock, and it manages to clear the crossmember. It means a lot less panmod, and most of the sump stays. Will know tomorrow. I am getting a great deal on a motor, I drove the car today. Original owner, striping the car after a rear wreck. 105,000 miles. Now I can have some fun, and when I sell it, it can be a track car, or a boost car and not to worry about the motor. The other engine is not dead, but I did get it low on oil pressure and I did think that as I shut it off, I heard a knock start, so I already have it down to the long block, no intake, cooling, at all, just heads, chains and its oil pan and all. I'll get it built next month for the J45. .040 over. N do lots of port work. Craig
