1994 Infiniti Q45 w/mods (some call it "VIP") - "Help Me Clear Out Storage" Sale

This is C&P from another forum (link here: http://www.vipstylecars.com/fo...76928)

Going to be selling my Q45. It's been sitting in the garage for half a year or so, and I feel bad knowing that I won't get around to finishing everything on it any time too soon. It's a complete, functional car as it is, and just needs minor finishing details (like affixing the air susp board, finishing up the rear trunk trim panels, fabbing the air susp controller/ashtray trim panel, rewiring the right front door speaker... those are the only "big" items I can recall right now). Since the car's been sitting a while, it's thrown a CEL, and I'm betting either the MAF is screwy, or the KS will need to be replaced soon. The car still drives fine, but tip-in throttle leads to hesitation sometimes (like timing is retarded, so most possibly bad KS). I haven't even had time to have my friend throw it on a Consult, so I definitely won't have time to take care of the issue at this point. But you can leave it be and drive the car as is (and deal with some tip-in hesitation every so often and poor gas mileage overall), or Consult it, fix the problem, and enjoy the car at full mechanical potential.

Some of the mods off the top of my head:
- custom air struts (made to go extra low)
- custom exhaust
- leon hardiritt ordens (19x10/11... probably most aggressive fitment set in the US, too)
- 7" lcd set to run off portable media player
- dual xtant amps
- focal speakers all around
- 12" diyma aluminum subs
- air ride technology's ridepro e2 controller
- air ride technology's ridepro air manifold
- hard lines for air management with custom anodized and nickel-plated fittings, etc...

I'd probably prefer selling the car complete as it sits, with all the parts on it... no time to part is out really. But I'll entertain intriguing requests. Following are various pics of the car. It'll come with all the removed trim pieces, and I'll probably even throw in the marble mural tiles that were to be part of the trunk floor (it's a rendition of Mucha's "Dusk"). Hmmm, that's all I can think of at the moment... any questions, please email me at: van@onetongarage.com, as I don't know how often/when I will be able to check mssgs and PMs here
thank you come again

various pics of what's for sale in no particular order:

And my addendum post with more info:

Nah I do really want to sell it... just not sure of what a fair asking price would be. I figure the major parts if sold separate/parted out would probably be around...
- wheels/tires = $2900
- air struts = $1300
- air management = $1500
- stereo stuff = $700?

So I guess for $6900, you get the car for next to nothing on top of those preceding parts. It's not perfect, so here's some other tidbits about it:
- 184K total miles
- theft recovery salvage (nothing missing, interior has no tears or rips, and there's no damage on the car)
- aftermarket tranny cooler (I have it bypassed at the moment due to one old hose that I haven't even had time to replace... nothing is wrong with the current setup, and use of the cooler can be reinstated as simpy as replacing one rubber hose...so yup, I have no time to even do that)
- front sway bar bushings are shot... best to replace both
- valve cover gasket leak (I will include new gasket set and spark plugs too)
- intermittent power steering leak... it drips a little when sitting for a while (like how I've let it sit), so this is as big an issue as you want to make it

So with the mechanical issues I've mentioned... the car is totally drivable as it is with them, but the buyer could just spend a good couple hours on a saturday and replace the valve cover gaskets (do the spark plugs while you're in there), and take off the plenum and replace the knock sensors (KS mentioned in initial post)... and might as well do the hoses under the plenum while you're in there, too. So any issues can all be taken care of in a few hours...

Hmmm, that's all I can think of off the top of my head...

Special price for NICO folks: $6750...help me clear out storage!!

This isn't a bad deal at all.

It'd be a big help in my quest for a show-worthy VIP Q. My biggest problem is the location. I wish it was closer.

It looks like I'm going to be parting the main components out... so you can get the air stuff and just install it on your own car if you'd like..

Sorry I'd rather not sell the exhaust separately, because then it'll be a major hassle to locate and weld a replacement on to the car. Of course, you can buy the whole car and it'll come with the exhaust attached. >HAHA<

Nope, it was daily driven like that for a while, too... I actually rarely adjusted the height... just left it at ride height and drove and parked it like that, since, at ride height, it's already lower than everything out there.. and rode quite nicely.
