Does 1994 nissan maxima has timing belt at all?

lots of people tell me these cars only have timing chain instead of timing belt. But I checked the manual that Nissan with VG30E does have timing belt. I am confused. Is it that in 1994 the time belt was called timing chain?

The VG30E equipped Maxima's do indeed have a timing belt while the SE version equipped with the VE30DE have a timing chain.

Just one quick point of clarification.not all "94" maximas are actually 94s the production changed from MY94 to MY95 in march of 94 some people look at the vehicles production date and assume that it is the vehicles year. it isn't always.Verify the cars actual model year before ordering any parts for it.
