So I asked a similar question a while back, but didn't really get the answer I was looking for. When I start my 07 M35, the rear view mirror is always dimmed...in the day, night, doesn't matter. The problem is that it is very dark, so I like to have it off. I can turn the dim off, but when i start the car back up, it's back to dimmed. Does everyone's mirror do the same, or are you able to have the dimmer turned off all the time? Thanks.

My mirror always starts light and dims as it should. If yours starts dim Make sure the sensor in front of the mirror (facing the windshield) is not blocked by an eazy pass, parking sticker, or stuff that some people hang on their mirrors.

Thanks for the info. There is nothing blocking the sensor, so there must be something wrong with it. Anyone else...I'm guessing yours starts out clear as well? Thanks for the help.
