I have a 2003 Maxima with the Bose 6-disc head unit. The unit powers up but puts out no sound. I tried another amp and got the same results. When I hit the seek button, it moves through the stations but never stops on any. I read that those symptoms mean that I need a new head unit. Do you all agree? If so, I will probably try to keep the amp and speakers that are in the car now and just replace the head unit. Those of you that have gone this route, what stereo have you bought that you are happy with? Have any of you had good luck getting the steering wheel volume controls to work on the new unit?
