I have owned an '09 Mo for few months now...

I have been noticing that the new Nissan line-up of D-platform cars are carrying 3.5 liter V6 engines as well.

Why is it that the Murano V6 is only 265 hp vs. the 290 in the Maxima and 270 in the Altima.

I have a hard time believing that the Nissan is producing different engines for these same platform vehicles.

How can I get and extra 25hp like the Maxima.

Just a thought... I'll go back to sipping my whine.

First off, welcome to NICOclub! Glad to have you here as part of the Murano forum!

Truth be told, they are all the same engine. For the most part each engine is tuned a little differently. Not sure really why Nissan does what it does, but I love how each of the three vehicles drive. No complaints here.

How do you like your Tinted Bronze? I love that color! I am so glad my wife wanted that color!

Glad to be part of this.

I have been reading the forum about a month before I bought.

We just took a vacation from Chicagoland to Estes Park, Co (round trip 2,660 miles). Drove every single mile, didn't have to ask my wife to help out.

As for the color, its fantastic. I doesn't show the dirt. I bought the car sight unseen. We wanted the red with camel interior, but they didn't have it. The dealer had this Mo on their holding lot. it just came off the boat and train.I figured this was the color from all the ads and it was.Everybody we talk to loves the color also.

Anyway...

I agree on the color not showing the dust, had ours since the first ofthe year and love it. Had some dust knocked loose yesterday when I was rear ended while stoped at a stop sign, not serious but enoughthat it will require a new bumper. I do ave a problem with an intermitentshort burst of a form of static from a rear speaker even with the radio off. Haven't been to the dealer about it yet since the odds are he won'tbe able to duplicate it till it becomes more frequent unless some othershave the same problem.

Good choice with the Bronze!

When I bought mine I was undecided between the Blue and Tinted Bronze.I went with the blue. I really like the color, but had I known it would show dirt the way it does I would have gone with bronze.
