GTR got owned. Shame on Nissan for making a fat pig of a car. That car needs to go on a serious diet.

When the hell did a rolling start for a drag become acceptable? Civics started this **** because they have nothing under 40mph. Watching a Z06 and a GT-R do it is painful. What a couple of losers. Standing start if you're serious about dragging. The launch is often where cars win or loose the drag if they are similar. This is ridiculous.

Seems people are bitter that the GT-R got owned by the Z06 in this drag video. As an FYI, the Z06 still beats the GT-R when raced from a dig. Where the GT-R really shines is on the twisty tracks, where it just owns the Z06. Frankly, it's an amazing car -- but could be ten times more amazing if they put that fat arse on a diet. Imagine if it was 500 less... sounds tasty right?

GM claims 0-60 for the Z06 at 3.7 seconds. The GTR runs it in 3.5 seconds. Id say close maybe, but definately not a cigar for the Z06.

No you're definitely correct. The GT-R has a wonderful advantage off the line with it's all-wheel drive... but by the end of just a quarter mile you will notice that although the ET is similar, the Z06 is up nearly 10MPH on the GT-R already, which means it is in the process of pulling away.

DON'T GET ME WRONG -- I love the GT-R, it's a great car -- but to become the "super car" everyone wants it to be, it needs to go on a serious diet... 3800 lbs!? COME ON.... it's one of the heaviest sports cars ever produced. Come on Nissan - release a skinny GT-R so it can be the undisputed king of the road.
