I'm ordering all aftermarket gauges today & I'm wondering if I need a tach adapter also. I'm 99% sure I do but I want to make sure before I spend $75 dollars on something I do not need.

If you have a SOHC cluster, then a signal converter will do you no good. Send it to LSAuto or run an aftermarket tach.

Or go to Carl H. Its half the cost just hit him up. I am going to order mine from him.
