  Favorite Classical Song

So I was curious what some of the members here favorite classical song is.

As much as I like Beethoven, Mozart, Handel, Vivaldi. I must say my favorite classical song is Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johan Sebastian Bach. I guess you could say when it was used in Castlevania it left a powerful impression when I was very young. I love some of the remixes that our generation has put out such as the works of Vanessa Mae and a techno remix someone made awhile ago.

It's hard for me to boil down who my favorite composer from days gone by is as I like them all given certain moods I'm in. Tchaikovsky and Musgorsky typically top my list.

John Cage is exceptional once you get past the fact that his music isn't really music. It's more self expressionism. He always did completely wrong things in composition that don't sit well with 99% of the people in the world. Even though I hate artists who lived in the dada 'style' (sorry, but setting a soup can on a bar stool is not art), Cage always made me consider him the musical equivalent to dada.

I laugh when people tout the fuel economy of a turbo engine. While it is true that it would be more economical off boost as it is basically a low compression NA motor at that moment, who the heck can stay out of the boost? That's like having a hot girlfreind and just having meaninful conversation.

hmm...I do love the moonlight sonata by Beethoven.

it almost kinda pumps me up honestly...kinda wanna reflect on the day and get ready to kick the **** out of tomorrow when I listen to it.

"Now you may ask if I regret it, if I would do it differently if I could, if I would take it back. NOT A CHANCE!!!!! I went for it. I put it all on the line. I always will. I knew what the consequences would be if I failed, and I was willing to accept them. So any of you reading who might be feeling a twinge of sympathy, don't. I made my decisions, and I accept the consequences. I'm no victim. And to those who are thinking about preaching at me, don't bother. I won't hear you. I haven't accomplished anything in this life worth remembering by playing it safe. That's boring to me anyway."

Another good one. I can't help but recall Jill Valentine BUTCHERING it in Resident Evil every time I hear it though.
