ok, I was looking at the wires again and some seem to come from the harness from the firewall and only 2 wires were labeled one said ecm power and the other said starter, now from the engine again only 2 wires were labeled one as starter and the other as alternator. my question is, do these get wired to the relay/fuse box? again sorry for the question, im new to this

Take the harness out of the car. Then put into a box with some good money and ship it to CarlH. He "might" be able to help you out.

I second that, that harness is totally butchered.

The lower harness stuff ie: Wires to alternator, starter, transmission, oil pressure switch etc you leave pretty much stock with the exception of swapping over a couple rb plugs to the ka harness like the oil pressure and the starter sinal wire.Ream the ringed terminals holes larger so the fit on the rb compnents. And transmission stuff just swap over the ka speed sensor and I can't remember if the rb reverse switch is the same or not I do think it is,my trans had this broke off to begin with.

Then all the EFI stuff like said take it out of the car and send it to Carl it will cost a couple bucks but it will work.

I am planning to swap this out and put it into another shell, would I be able to use the same altered harness on the other shell? but first I want to try to turn the engine on to see if everything works or if i have to do some work to it while its out of the car.

ok, I figured out most of the wiring, my last wiring question. in the wiring guide it says to connect the ecu power wire to a white cable from the fuse box, I noticed there were more than one white wire, am I supposed to connect the ecu power wire to the thick white wire or the thinner one?

and where do these go?

sorry for the noobish questions, im just new to this

Ok, so I went to a buddy's shop where they had a 240 with an rb20 and I checked which white wire they were using, so I spliced it into the same white wire on my car. so now I just have to finish extending the O2 sensor wires and splice in the fuel pump wire and I will be done with the wiring I hope
