Jay Leno is awesome. He isn't just one of those car guys that likes just one "era" of cars. He has everything from steam cars to jet bikes. And what's even cooler about him is he's open minded to new ideas and the future of automobiles. If any of you have kept up fairly well with his show you'll see he endorses things like hydrogen, hybrids, ethanol, etc... Not so much for the money as raising awareness for cars that don't give off as many emissions and some that don't give off any at all. He's a cool guy and it'll be a sad day when he leaves the Tonight Show.

Letterman isn't taking over for Leno, Conan Obrien is. As far as I know Letterman has nothing to do with Leno leaving and he'll probably just keep doing his own thing on CBS.

I know he has a morotcycle with a HELICOPTER engine but I haven't heard of the Jet propelled one.

Edit: And that's "G" Status haha.

Correct term is a Gas Turbine Engine, there's no such thing as a Jet engine. (My dad works at Pratt and Whitney and I hear about that crap all the time so I might as well use that knowledge )

I'd like to hang out with that guy for a few days. I think it would be quite a fun and educational experience.

+1 except I'm not a huge fan of deviation from straight internal combustion.

You know I asked him and he laughed and said all of his co-workers and he refer to it as a slow rocket. He said that yes those could be qualified as "jet engines" because they just use a jet of air and fuel, but not because they are engines in a jet. The term they use to be technical are reaction engines when referring to those types of motors (ram, scram, and pulse jet engines).

But that when people refer to a jet as having a "jet engine" those don't exist. Just like it's not a 240 engine, or a car engine, its just an internal combustion engine.
