  walbro 255 fuel pump

Anyone who has installed this unit, please advise on how easy it is, and if there are any lil important bits of info that would be helpful.

It should be here monday, and be dropped in the Z32 then. Figure it is easy, but looking for info, searched to no eval. Thanx craig

Got one in my 2+2 Z32. I bought a Z32 specific kit from UAS in Sydney. Bolted straight in with a bit of soldering for the wires.

The body of the Walbro is a lot smaller than the standard one, a bit of plastic tube stuff goes around the walbro along with the rubber off the standard pump.

I took some photos when I did it, I'll dig them up.

I ordered a Walbro 255 for a 240sx since they didn't list an application for a Pathfinder. I cross referenced some Autozone part numbers and found that the same part is used for a 240sx as a Pathfinder so I ordered that one. The connectors were identical and it went together very very easily. No more than 30 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one.

Rightyo, here are some piccies...

Old pump all together

The old pump rubber that you have to remove to put on the walbro so the clamp works well

The Walbro, the rubber that the walbro came with (red arrow), and the rubber off the old pump (green arrow)

The whole lot reasembled. Had to solder a couple of wires in up the top

The new filter didn't fit, so I reused the old filter with a new expansion washer

And another thing make sure you don't use the FPCU. Walbro's don't like less than 12V.

Apprecite it and the pics. I already pulled the pfcu, and am ready to sell it on the net.

Thanx a lot for the pics. Hope it helps others later too,

Just wanted to add info on pump install.

Did it a week ago or so, It is alot skinnier and shorter in length then the stock unit. I used an radiator hose, sliced up a bit to help fill the space in rubber boot, reused stock mounting, piece of cake, all in all, 20 -30 minute job. Part was 124 from Summit, made by Walbro, sold as a Trickflow piece, I think it was for a Stang, but filter, and all fit great, just had to mount it low in the boot, to keep filter low in tank. Running out of gas with 1/4 tank would suck.
