I have dealt with this company in the past and had a horrible experience with them. I've been trying to get past the whole experience and move on...but the crap work they did to my car lives on!!!

One of the things that they did while they had my car was wire up the electric fan controller that I had. They said they weren't able to hook up the DIF fan controller that I had bought so they put on some universal garbage that they had. Anyway, they said they hooked up the stock Fan Relay in my fusebox. It was working ok with the weak 10" fan that they put on my car. I replaced it with a FAL efan and it fried whatever it was that they did in there. The fusebox caught FIRE. And I traced it back to the relay they "hooked up" for the efan.

man that sucks, why couldn't they use the dif fan controller? cause it only took me about 30 minutes to install on my rb and they work great. i cant stand half a-s-s shops like that. hopefully your luck gets better.

Why couldn't they figure out how to install the dif controller? Simplest install ever! The instructions are very detailed. Is this guy still in business? If so, you need to take him down for the count.

Thats lawsuit worthy IMO.

Sorry to see the problems dude, thats really unfortunate. I wonder what they did to create that fire. I suspect they didn't fuse the line and used an inadequate sized wire for the job.

This didn't have anything to do with you swapping over to the FAL fans?

EDIT: Maybe the wiring job was adequate for the cheap 10" fan, but the FALs were too much?

If the line had been fused properly, the fire would not have occurred!

exactly...the FAL fans draw more amps then the universal fan they put on. If it had been fused properly it would have popped the fuse and no harm done....obviously thats not the case.

Ah, ok. The bottom line is that it was highly preventable via at least a fuse? Gotcha.

hahahaha, i was going to say the same thing.

A shop here in town did the same thing to a friend of mines RB25, they wired up some FAL's and just hooked it up to a switch and the ACC2 relay. It got so hot it blew the 25 amp ign fuse and melted the main blue power wire for that circuit, that i had to replace.

It amazes me how many shops there are out there that dont understand the fcking basic principles of electricity and how electrical circuits are supposed to work. If you dont know what Ohms law is, you should not touch a wire on a car period.

bunch of idiots; can't read a manual for a simple fan controller. on top of that lack understanding of wire gauge to handle a certain amperage.

well, start pulling that entire front-end harness and put in a new one; or cut off the fusebox and solder on the new one...either way, you're in for a time of your life moaning and b|tch|ng

you got it...i already have a spare fusebox and harness and im gonna start relocating on next week.

the reason i even knew about the low life shop is because the owner of the shop came to me to buy some RB parts...when i spoke with him he came across very knowledgeable. talking about all the customers he's had and the kinda work he does. He sold himself well, but, the work done at his shop was another story....

I'm certain that someone else had major issues with them or was suing them for the money paid for mount kits that never manifested themselves. I remember reading the thread because it was so entertaining. Such a F*** up.

Holy ish what a nightmare... At least it didnt take out a fuel line.... Coulda been a LOT worse.

Man, i just wired my dif fans up. The instructions TELL YOU exactly what you have to do, thats why the dif controllers are so nice. No external sensor needed, they splice right into any OEM temp sensor.

DIY ftmfw when it comes to that stuff.
