First off i read the stickies and couldnt find everything i was looking for.Second i am a complete noob to turbos. Ok my friend has a turo kit that came off a ca18det.Dont know if its stock or what. its a garret turbo and has a/p 60 and m37 on the turbo if that helps.he also has the down pipe and a ssq blowoff valve connected to were it hooks up to the throttle body and exaust manifold.i have a s14 ka24de.my question is what will fit on my car? how much boost does the stock turbo produce? and what all is needed to make it run properly? intercooler i/c piping sr20 injectors safcII? anything else?

Nothing on the CA is good for boosting the KA. The turbo is to small, the mani won't bolt up etc. So you're basically starting from scratch. So read the sticky about boosting a stock KA. It has everything you need in it.

Forget about the SAFC, a ROM tune from Emance is only $150ish.

im not trying to have a real high horsepower motor just something to give it a little more push.and my friend only wants $100 for all that stuff. still dont think its worth it to get another manifold?

what good is something if you cant use it? even if it is 100$, itll be 100$ tha cant be used on your KA.

WD is really the turbo guru here and i really think you should read what he said...

read the stickies on the top of this forum carefully and youll learn alot about turboing KAs....take notes if you have to. but i promise you, i found everything i needed to know about going KA-t on this forum and with google.

and yes, ditch the safc, and get the Emance tune.

and if your power goals are low, you can get away with other stuff like FMU and maybe even a ebay turbo. but seriously, read all the stickies first.

as wd said the snail is incredibly small for a ka. Just start from scratch, hell I'm selling 75% of the **** to bolt onto a ka for around 200 bux.

as for tuning you could do the n60/ 370 thing? thats cheap and decent for low boost IIRC.

anywho decide what yoru actual goals are and buy parts based on that

n60/370 thing doesnt work.

Go with 550 cc's, a z32 maf, and a E-Mance ecu tune. Skip the SAFC unless you want to buy a WBO2 and fine tune the Emance tune. SAFC as a lone tuning device is a joke, those days are over.

Anyone that says this has no idea what they're talking about. I'm sure you're speaking in second hand here...but try not to. A car will start and run well at 10:1 AFR's...until the oil gets contaminated and the motor locks up.

The cheapest way is a low psi and a FMU.

I personally would save up for a t3 flanged setup, but that costs slightly more because of the parts involved.

If your hell bent on doing this as cheaply as possible, just go with a bottom mount t2 flanged turbo setup. Emance ecu tune, and all the trimmings.

i think u can reach your goal of 250-300 with no problem1500 should be more than enough.

sr t25 will work great ~100-150$ebay manifold with maybe reinforcment ~100-200$?ebay intercooler/pipping ~150$?370cc sr injectors ~100$emance tune 170$walbro fuel pump~ 90$-100$lines and stuff (dunno cost)i *think* you can get away with keeping the stock maf, and emance can tune with it as well. if anything u can get a z32 maf..

and if you do the labor youll have a dirt cheap setup. might want to get another clutch tho.

if you shoot a little lower hp goal, u can get away with a 8:1 FMU or what now.... i dont recall... but search, i had a thread here about it.just search my username on this forum and find the "finalizing turbo kit " thread. loads of info there.
