This pops up now when i open AIM

A few days ago a message popped up saying then one of my disc needed to be checked for consistency so i went to error checking and it did a bunch of **** that i dont understand. Anyway , why is this message coming up now? It pops up numerous times until i shut AIM down.

Uninstall AIM, and get Trillian. Trillian is way better, and uses less memory. (If you didn't know, it lets you open AIM as well as many other IM programs with it.)

Yeah, I ditched AIM for trillian due to viruses as well. Trillian's supposed to be more virus-proof. I do have issues doing direct-connect with people using Trillian, but aside from that it's way better than AIM.

Well , i removed aim and downloaded a new version of aim , but im getting the same message but now it pops up when aim goes to sign me in. I tried trillian from download.com and um , dont laugh but i couldnt figure out how to send a freakin IM. Im also getting an Error message when i come back to my comp after the screen saver has been running. Ill try and snap a screen shot of it.

try downloading AIM 5.5

Whenever i had a problem with aim...it was generally with the newer versions.So i always 'downgraded'Just go on google and type in 'download AIM 5.5'

and try that once.
