Replacing your rims wont void your warrenty.Unless you get the wrong backspacing and destroy your calipers, But thats highly unlikely.as for the TPMS, I dont know. Im swapping them between my current 17" wheels to a set of 17" gram lights.
If and first you dont succeed, You failed.

From my understanding of TPMS, the sensors can be put in your new wheels since all tire stem holes are the same size.

So when I replace the wheels, it won't put the computer on a fritz, being that the PSI would be different from stock wheels, and set off any warning indicators?I'm probably being paranoid, but I just don't want the TPMS indicator flashing in my face all the time if I replaced the wheels.

Depends on what tire pressure the TPMS is set at. I've heard other owners say it's 35psi, which is a good pressure for a 215/45/17 anyway.

That sounds just about right to me... I guess I'll be picking myself up some Konig Hotswap and some Eibach Pro springs to go along with them. Thanks guys.

Having the light on saves you money? Thats backwards, simply because if you dont have proper air pressure, you waste gas, and gas = money.

If you're slightly over the air pressure sensor mark (while avoiding being overinflated), you'll actually reduce your rolling resistance and increase gas mileage.I think he was referring to the cost of filling up the tires with air... which is free (not including a little electricity) if you do it with an air compressor at home. Even if you have to pay at the air pump at a gas station, it's definitely smarter to have proper tire pressure. If you let it slide too long you can cause poor tire wear and even get yourself in some dangerous situations, aside from the gas mileage issue.

Thanks guys, I just ordered the Konig's and should be shipping out today. I'm so pumped, I can't wait to get 'em. I'll post some pics when I get them installed.I just got the wheels in, although I told them not to mount them cause I need the TPMS sensors installed to the new wheels... jerks. Do you think the installers will get pissed off if they have to pull the sensors from the oem rims to the new ones? Modified by nok610 at 10:41 AM 7/17/2008
Installers gave me a really hard time, but they installed the original TPMS sensors. I think they just didn't want to break the bead because they were being lazy. That's the last time I go to them. Other than that, all is well. The TPMS indicator didn't come on so everything's all good.

They aren't alloy rims, they're 16" steel wheels with hubcaps.
