The stock regulator is fine, there are a number of 250-300rwk (330-400whp) in australia using the stock reg... Even I used 800cc injectors on the stock fuel reg and rail...
Unless yours is buggered, or you are chasing massive power and are concerend about possible pressure fluctuations, sell off your free one and keep the stock 
As an example, I use twin walbro pumps, 3/8 aluminium fuel lines, dash 6 fuel connections and hose, billet fuel rail, sard reg, billet filter (only for the reusability and dash 6 fittings, most std filters are fine) and upgrading to 1000cc injectors as my 800cc's wont flow enough..
