Guys/Gals, this is certainly a cheap beer worth trying. It ranks right up there with the Boulevard (Unfiltered) Wheat, except this has a hint of lemon.

The initial taste starts out light and smooth and remains that way even well into the aftertaste. No surprises with this beer at all. It's not a robust flavored beer by any means, but this is a summer brew, so heavy, complex tasting beer just isn't fitting. So pick up a case of this while you can, it's seasonal and wont be around again till next summer.

Unless you're at a Mexican restaurant, it kicks Corona's ***!

Side note: This also makes an excellent "summer beer" beer. Get out a frosty mug, add some sour mix, a shot of vodka, and pour in the beer. But becareful, this drink will sneek up on ya.

Im trying it right now with a Jersey Mike's Sub. It is very different than anything I've had so far. It took me about half of a bottle to get used to it, but I do like it, and am glad I tried it before it goes out of season.

If you really want to branch out... try to find some of this stuff! I had some tonight... not to hoppy, not too malty - very balanced. http://www.averybrewing.com/Bi...eaven

Honey Moon (Blue Moon's summer blend) is decent as well.

I perfer The Reverend. But I'm also a HUGE triple and quadruple ale fan. Not so big on pale ale's or IPA's though. Too hoppy! I need more hair on my chest.

I didn't know they had one out. My ex's good friend (she does her hair), her husband sells liquor and get's all kinds of samples. He doesn't drink much beer so since he gets it free, he gives the stuff away. I need to get back in touch with them and do some "taste testing" at his place...so long as I have a DD.

Reviving a very old thread lol. But I was hanging out with my boss after work the other day, and I helped her with some stuff around the house. She offered me a six pack of Summer Ale. Its a good summer beer, better than some other "summer" beers. Gets a from me.

I'll have to grab a 6 if I can find it. I've recently tried the Blue Moon "Harvest Moon" and their "Pale Moon" blends and both are pretty good.

Love this stuff!

If anyone is near a place called "Triumph," try out their Honey Wheat. It's excellent!

For something totally off the wall and different, try chili beer.

http://www.chilibeer.com/index2.htm

I found it at a Cost Plus World Market outside of Chicago. It started out great and got hotter...and hotter.....and hotter...then I turned red and started sweating....and then it got hotter.

I'm not highly recommending it but it is something different to try. I'm always on the prowl for different and like everything from Sam Adams Winter Ale through Black & Tan to some stouts.
