Hey, does anyone know how to remove hard water/rust water stains from paint? They've developed only in the past week or so and they have left discoloration lines on my driver's front quarterpanel and driver's door. I just noticed them the other day and I can't get them off...Short of rubbing compound, I've tried vinegar (suggested by a detailing site), a good buffing with an orbital, and meguiar's cleaner wax...any help or suggestions?

Thanks for that tip! I picked up a smooth surface clay kit and it worked well, if not requiring a good deal of effort. Now I don't have to pay a detailer.

Now if I could only fix it on to my buffer head....

Ok, so after lots of hard work with a clay bar and detailing spray, I found the right combination...cleaner wax and a microfiber towel, even though at first I was using it incorrectly In 15 minutes I was able to accomplish what would have taken 3 hours with a clay bar and detailing spray!!!So in case anyone else out there ever has this problem, just remember: cleaner wax!
