I decided to take the M to the car wash and to my surprise the rear passenger window wouldn't go up. I tried pushing the window up while pressing and pulling the button but nothing. The window wouldn't roll up and down but i could hear the motor clicking; the type of sound one might hear when the window is up all the way and its click up again. I used the button from the drivers door and the rear passengers door but nothing just the motor clicking.

I read some threads but none seemed to point me in the right direction of what the problem might. If anyone has any ideas they will be greatly appreciated since in going to try to tackle this unexpected task this weekend. Thanks in advance

Probably!

In the older Infiniti models, this used to be a plastic scissors-like part. I do not know what it looks like on these cars. The Service Manual (see link in my sig) should get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for the help. I haven't had a chance to try to fix the problem or take the M to the dealer since i been working non stop for the last week.

Now i have another problem, The passenger window wont go up. So now im not sure if its the regulator. im thinking it might be something electrical. I checked the fuses for the windows and it was working. I wondering if each window has a fuse? I noticed that there are some unlabeled fuses in the passenger side under the glove box, could the fuses be located there?

I checked all the fuses and followed all the steps from the service manual and everything seemed to be in order. after hours of trying everything and feeling hopeless, my friend and i decided to use a portable start jumper to directly power the power window regulator. I unhooked the power window regulator connector and connected the positive and negative cables from the portable start jumper to the connector. to my surprise the window went up, then i switch the positive and negative and the window went down. I then connected all the connectors and turn the ignition on and used the window switch; the window rolled up and down from the drivers side switch and rear passenger door switch.i then did the same thing to the passengers window. For some weird reason the window regulator got stuck or deprogrammed it self. For now the windows are rolling up and down perfectly. im just wondering if this is a common problem? I hope this is helpful to anyone in the future. unfortunately i didn't have a camera with me but if you guys have any questions i'll be glad to answer them.

Now that is pretty darn weird!

Usually, the cause is a broken window regulator ... this is the first time I have heard of your approach and solution.

I am glad you got it fixed ... and, most importantly, reported the solution here too. Thanks!
