More than likely the bushing on the bottom of the shifter, Mine busted and I had this problem. I made my own, Didn't think they made a replacement. But they might.

how did you make your own? will the s13 bushing work? I found the part number for that, 32861-h7301 and figure it may be worth a shot and if the stock s13 bushing works then id imagine the cusco one would work as well http://www.aspecproducts.com/s...earch Modified by cb_240 at 8:46 AM 7/9/2008

I made one out of aluminum on the lathe we had at school at the time. took me about 10 mins.Im sure the KA one will work, I used my entire Ka shifter in the rb25 trans.

It was an aftermarket short throw, It basically fell right in, Had to get some longer bolts for the clamps, But works great. This is the same shifter I bought about 5 years ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...86035

If you have the Rb25 trans I know it will work b/c Mine did. But you will have to buy some Longer hex bolts, The ones they supply are too short for the 25 trans.

RB20 and RB25 shifters and bushings are different sizes. The RB25 uses a bigger bushing versus the RB20/S13/KA.-Bluefire

yea idk about that the shifter it self will work i have used it, but the bushings are different sizes. but as far as bolting up a short throw idk. the rb25 has a slant (45 degree angle ) to it, ka and rb20 sits flat. their was a wright up way back when

Thats the way to do it! If it does not fit.. bigger hammer! </sarcasm> But seriously, I know what you meant.
If you did not build it, it is not yours.A job worth doing, is worth doing right!
