Ice Cream Truck music when I back up?

Hey all...I've been reading these forums for a while now but I just bought a '92 fastback and I love it. The only thing I don't love it the fact that when I shift into reverse (auto trans) it plays what can only be described as ice cream truck music. It's embarassing as all hell, and I was wondering where someone MIGHT hook this up. It plays out of the rear speakers, and I've ripped the stock radio out and checked the majority of the harness and I can't find any splices or anything. ANY help would be appreciated!!!

Yeah, everyone who hears it says it's awesome. Except for the fact that I feel like a pedoph:le every time I back up from my driveway. I'm waiting to get pulled over with a bag of Jolly Ranchers in the console and get arrested for soliciting children. I've tried looking. It's weird cause the radio still plays at the same time. Ughh.....wtf...

I've seen products that actually went in between the backup light and the socket. Are you certain that it's coming out of the rear speakers?

You know what...I'm not entirely sure it is. I guess I pretty much assumed it was because it's behind my head. I'll definitely have to check it out in the morning.I'll take some vids and post em before I rip it out and burn it.

yeah check your light bulb socket.. when i worked at autozone we had some bulbs that beep when the light came on

check for something making contact at your shifter when you put the car into reverse. also check the reverse lights for something making contact there.

btw, i don't know why you would want to get rid of it, that's the most awesome thing i have ever heard of. your title led me to believe that you wanted to install it, you have let me down .

when we got our truck it had a back up warning beep, it was just a plastic thing in between the bulb and the socket. Thats probably what yours is.

I found it. Finally. It was a yellow box from Fantasy Safety Alarms hooked up to my reverse lights. Backup music FTL. Anyway, here's a vid of the music in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccL_mb13_vA Will trade for a stock '92 Ashtray.

if this is the song thats playing, keep it. its gansta. Just tell everybody its "do your chain hang low?" and you can pull it off lol if its some other happy crap song though make it louder and replace it with some sabbath.
