Well just thought I would take a moment to throw up some pictures of the new playtoy. it's a 96 Pathfinder SE. Auto, 4x4, power windows, locks, moonroof, and keyless.
Since getting it I have dropped another motor in (bought it for 300 bucks with a knocking engine), Rancho shocks, Xterra Supercharged wheels and tires, Pioneer speakers all the way around and a Pioneer flip out screen with navigation. The pioneer equipment was leftovers from another project car.
Any suggestions for other improvements or inexpensive add ons that will increase performance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Anyway, here are some pictures.

I agree with the comment on the rims. $300 is a great deal when you can get a deal on another engine. I bought a Chevy Corsica for $300 that needed a fuel pump 7 years ago that has been going strong. I was going to sell it when I bought the QX4 but I love that little thing too much.
I was happy to see 97QXFOUR's pics. I have been wanting to tint my front windows but have never seen one with the reflective rears and dark fronts.
Well all total now I think I'm about 1600 into the Pathfinder, and now everything except the stereo is complete. I know what I want for that, just trying to locate it now at a reasonable price.
Today I got the windows tinted. 20% all the way around. This made up well for the very light factory tint that had that bronzed look to it. Pictures to follow in the morning daylight.
I really like that shade of green. It is rather unusual. Truthfully I haven't seen a QX4 with it.
On Monday it goes for detailing both inside and out. A buddy of mine owes me a favor, so he's going clean it from top to bottom.
One thing I have noticed is that the spare tire carrier appears to have a little play in it, and thus makes a clunking noise when going over rough terrain. Really only noticed this because there is no stereo at all in the truck at the moment. Are there any ways to deal with this?
Other thoughts? Anyone done anything with exhaust? The stock muffler looks somewhat pitiful. I was thinking perhaps exhaust might open it up a little bit.
Yeah, I'm happy with the way it has all worked out. Here are a couple pictures after the window tint went on.
I have the leather spare tire cover. It does not fit. The spare that is on the truck now is a 15 x 9.5. Too large. As such know anyone interested in buying a spare tire cover?
Look into purchasing a leather spare tire cover. This will help against theft.
That way it takes them an extra 5 seconds to steal it cause now they'll have to cut off the cover or maybe just unzip it... if you really want to protect it get a lock for it. I say keep it exposed it looks better.
