First time on here but i've recieved a lot of help from just reading the postings that you guys have on here. I bought a black 04 m45 3 months ago and i'm thinking about getting new shoes for her and then i'm gonna lower the suspension. I took it to a local shop here in florida and the guys there say they can lower the stock suspension for me. I haven't seen anyone on here who have lowered their stock suspension so i'm a little bit curious to find out from u guys if this is a wise choice

What method are they using to lower it with? We have a forum member here that used clamps and has had great success(sp), but the big question for you is... how are they lowering your car?

thanks for your response. I must say that your car is one of my biggest motivation for getting mine. Well i havent gone into any details with these guys but they do alot of suspension work especially on dunks so i figure they should know what they are doing

Well i haven't had the chance to look at the suspension of the M, but for my mustang i was able to lower it with the stock suspension. To keep a softer ride and money in my pockets, i simply cut the springs. Came out nice and about $300 cheaper than buying springs and having someone install them. But at the same time the springs on the mustang are inexpensive, so if messed up i can buy a pair for $100. I'm sure the springs on the M are a lot more expensive.

Cutting is bad, Heating is even worse. I watched a guy lower a car with a blow torch and was like, yea, those are gonna break very shortly.

Make sure you find out exactly what they plan on doing, once you find out post it on here so we can let you know.
