Up for sale is a 1995 Infiniti Q45t. Has about 114k miles, dark green exterior and tan leather interior. Has been in the family since my Dad got it brand new back in '95. Located in Norfolk, VA. Asking $3000ish OBO The good:
Struts died, so I recently put a set of Tokico Blues all around. They are a step up from the factory Tokico Black struts, making it about 15% stiffer for corners, but still nice and gentle for highway driving.
Replaced the ECU with the NICO custom ECU. It includes two different tunes changeable by connecting or disconnecting a wire, and adds an estimated 30HP and Torques.
Tapped into the Phone IN port on the head unit, that allows use of external audio devices such as MP3 players though the factory Bose sound system. The wires in there right now are RCA, but you can always get an RCA to headphone jack converter.
I use Mobile 1 oil, and do all my own oil changes every 3k miles
Fuel pump/filter replaced last year
Tires replaced with high performance all seasons last year
5 injectors recently replaced
2 knock sensors recently replaced
New brake pads and rotors
New front brake calipers
Alternator replaced last year
Valve cover gaskets replaced last year
Alternator replaced last year
Cluster light bulbs replaced with blue Autometer LEDs. I do a lot of night driving, and its easier on the eyes. Cluster/interior lights can be dimmed
I just bought a recently rebuilt differential housing (30k miles on it) that has 4.08 gears. Havnt installed it yet, so you can take it for an extra $300. It will put your speedo off, but replacing your speedo drive gear with a 300zx non-turbo automatic will put it back dead on...
The bad:
Was sideswiped on the driver side a few years back. Hasnt been repaired but was painted over in factory colors by a bodyshop to prevent rusting. Now it only looks slightly dented
Few misc cracks and cuts on the interior leather. Nothing too bad.
For some reason the two outside lights on the cluster flicker on and off sometimes. At night, this might mean a temporary hiding of the fuel guage and water temp gauge. Nothing too serious, and I dont even notice it anymore. Tach and Speedo are unaffected
I cut the rear muffler out, which creates a low quiet rumble at idle, and gets a little bit louder at wide open throttle... So the exhaust ends right after the rear axle, but doesnt exit the car. Technically this doesnt pass state safety inspection, unless you know the right people like I do. Ive been meaning to extend the pipes out but havnt gotten around to it. Easy fix if you want to, and it doesnt need inspection until Feb 2009
I had a fuel starvation problem, ie bucking after long highway driving that was narrowed down to 5 faulty injectors. Those have been replaced and it was fine for a while. It did it once more a few weeks back, but when I took it to the dealership they couldnt find anything wrong after a week of driving it, and nothing like it happened on the 30min drive back from the dealership. Everything should be okay, but buy at your own risk.
I dont have pics at the moment, but for any serious inquires I can grab a friends camera and get some for you...
Contact me either by my listed email, or you can call me on weekdays anytime after 7pm EST on my cell (703-969-7399). If you call before 7 I doubt I will answer as I have work, and weekends im usually in Richmond.
I'll accept cash, money orders, or even a person check if you dont mind waiting for it to clear...
