***NEW PRICE $2700 OBO***
e-mail: doinkmobb@hotmail.comI think I'm done with it.
I bought the car in Dec. '07 with 171K miles on it, did some work on it, cleaned it up and drove it enough to know that it's really not for me. It's a different car and I like that about it but it's just not what I want right now. Maybe someday I'll pick up another one.
Specs:
- 1994 Q45
- Green exterior
- Tan interior
- 176K miles
- OEM stereo system w/6 CD changer in trunk
- normal suspension, not active
Mods:
- 18" G35 rims painted black
- 245/40/18 Sumitomo HTR Z III (approx. 2500 miles)
- black painted grille
- black painted emblem
Maintenance done:
- Mobil 1 10w30
- brand new OEM NGK platinum spark plugs
- OEM air filter
- cleaned EGR, new gasket
- cleaned IAC, new gasket
- cleaned throttle body, new gasket
- cleaned MAF
- cleaned PCV valve
- removed/cleaned plenum, new gaskets
- replaced MANY hoses, including under plenum hoses
- replaced both valve cover gaskets on 8/16/08***
- two cans of BG44K added (not at once, seperate fill ups)
- fixed broken sunroof switch
- fuel pump was replaced shortly before I bought the car
- battery is from July '07
- rebuilt OEM alternator installed 7/12/08***
- belts replaced 7/13/08***
- alignment done at about 174K miles
- new pads/rotors done on 10/18/08***
Maintenance that needs to be done:
- water pump is leaking (I've been checking the coolant level about every week or two and adding as needed, I haven't let it get low, no overheating)
- squeaky front passenger side strut
- transmission fluid, rear diff and brake fluids need to be changed
- antenna mast is broken off
- fan blower only works on high
Interior
- the driver's seat is cracked, not the worst I've seen, but not great looking
- passenger seat also cracked, not as bad as driver's side
- rear seat looks great, very little wear
- trunk area is really clean, replaced a bunch of missing pop rivets
Exterior
- some oxidation and chips in the clearcoat on the roof
- paint missing on rear bumper
- U-shaped crack in windshield on passenger side
- scuffs and scratches here and there, paint could use some work with a Porter Cable buffer
- small rust spots in front of rear quarter panels (I've read this is normal)
What will come with the car
- OEM air filter
- OEM oil filter
- misc. OEM hoses
- extra rear floormat
The AC definitely works. It seems to get colder and colder over the course of the first 30 min. you're in the car. The fan blower only works on the highest setting, but it works.
I cleaned the hell out of the interior, I don't think you can get it much better looking honestly. I've treated the seats with leather conditioner 3 times now and they feel a little better.
The car starts up every day, goes like hell when I stomp on the gas and the transmission shifts cleanly. It's a fun cruiser type car but I need something smaller and I'm dying for a 5-speed again. I think I'll go back to Subaru...
I have put a decent amount of work into this car, maintenance and cleaning-wise. The Q needs someone to finish the job and it'll be good to go. I'm not in any rush to sell it really. The price is not set in stone, feel free to e-mail me with any offer - doinkmobb@hotmail.com. I might even be open to a trade.
