I was hoping to get some insight on what is needed to rewire my fuel pump. I recently replaced my fuel pump because my car died out and when I went to turn it on again, I did not hear the fuel pump priming. I replaced the Walboro with a new Walboro and the same thing was happening. I am thinking that I have another issue in the wiring some where and I would like to just wire in my own relay. Please let me know what I can do.

you should be able to bypass the whole relay by connecting the fuel pump straight to a 12volt power source.what you want to do first is, if you have a volt or multi meter connect it to the leads coming from your car to the fuel pump and see what you get. that will tell u if you got bad wiring

It might not be the fuel pump. It could be as simple as the gas cap not holding a vacuum.

Umm no? A pump pushes fuel from the tank to the motor. You don't have to have "vacuum" in the tank for the pump to work. You could stick it in a bucket and as long as it has 12 volts to it it'll pump like a bastard.
