Hey all,

New to the forum, looking to do a few minor offroading upgrades and would like some educated information. I'm planning on putting 17" MKW M28 Wheels with 31" x 10.5" Yokohama Geolander A/T tires (265/65/17) on my STOCK pathfinder. I've read that this is the max size you can put on a R50 pathfinder.

I also am going to do an OME lift on next year (likely with warn hubs) but want to ensure that I don't need to do this lift first before I put on the wheels and tires (still got another good year on the current suspension).

Anything I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

BT

edit: also, anyone have a good online resource for adjusting the speedo after the tire size change?

I have an 02 chilkoot with the 2" ac lift and 1" spacers( http://www.4x4parts.com ) and it rides so much nicer than the stock suspension. I have also heard good things about the OME springs. Those tires should fit as long as the rims have proper backspacing so the tires do not hit the strut. I think anywhere from 4.5" to 3.75" I have 265/75r16(31.5") yokohama geolander mt on a 16x8 wheel with 4.5"? backspacing. I had to trim a little plastic off the front bumper and move the inner plastic fenders a bit. On the rear when flexing my tires contact the fender lip(which sucks). Warn hubs are great. [IMG][/IMG]

Really nice Chilkoot, silver just looks good with the Mud. I'm not too sure what the backspacing on the MKW M28 wheels is. Unfortunately it doesn't say anywhere when I search (or am I just missing something here?). The only reference to backspacing I could find for these wheels is on the blue Tacoma on this site http://www.toyotanation.com/fo...ge=68

Says the backspacing on his truck is 4.75"

I am not sure what the best backspacing would be. All i know is that with 245/75r16 on my factory wheels I had about 1/2" clearance between the tire and the bottom of the strut. Fueler will probably post here and he will have a good idea. Or you might try http://npora.ipbhost.com/. There is lots of good info there.

17x8.5 mkw m28 has 0 offset so backspacing would be 4.25" ????I think??? maybe somebody can check my math

that pathfiner looks amazing. Exactly how I want mine to look!
