I'm half Dominican, but alas, my spoken Spanish stinks but I am a decent listener. Anyway, at work I work in the back room and have a nice stereo to myself. I want to get some good salsa and merengue music to play, but I am at a loss at where to start. I picked up an album from the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (united we swing) and it's decent but I want something better and I played it out already. I need new stuff and I have to keep rotating so I don't play out the stuff I already have on my mp3 player!
As far as merengue goes, it's damn near impossible trying to find something that isn't perverted and disrespectful to women. I know of Juan Luis Guerra, but I can't download an MP3 album from Amazon.. I found Milly Quezada, but meh.. I've heard better.
Just looking for upbeat, great sounding , original stuff that I can download.
