I threw a ****ing rod in the stock engine so i have to replace it. Im thinking about putting a sr20 in it but i didnt know if i needed a new transmission(currently stock) thinking that it wouldnt hold up to that much more power. if it is ok, will it bolt straight on or do i need to modify. someone told me i might need a new adapter plate...any suggestions.

thanks a ton

I live in south knoxville next to tsd off of island home ave. where you live at.?? I dont really have the extra chash flow to get a new transmission, and i want to know if it will hold up over time cause i like to get on it especially with the turbo sr20.this is my first 240 and nissan altogether so i dont know to much about them.

I live in powell next to halls.

Id say if you built up the transmission alittle it would hold up.Go up to high velocity, the can help you with whatever you need and iirc the have SR's in there shop forsale.

High velocity is up on Clinton Highway, alittle past emory on the right, you cant miss it, theres s14s sitting out front, and a wrecked supra.

Theres also Over The Top motorsports off kingston pike, next to biker rags, But I dont know much about it.

If your thinking of putting an SR in, might as well go with the SR transmission. Most front clips come with them anyway.

Check craigslist or call local junk yards. A lot of times you can find Ka's for cheap because someone pulled theirs to go sr and they are just trying to recoup some of the cost.
