Long story short, I have caught my self between my two never ending projects sr20det (1990 240sx) and 2004 SRT4 making one faster than the other. I have always wonder which one is quicker, on a roll from 65 and up or how it stand against a stock SRT4. I knew that lately my 240 has been running really good and everything has been solid, the way it pulls everything. Well, this afternoon, some punk was driving on I 70 on his srt4 (don't know if it was stock- mostlikely) and slowed down. I looked over driver, front passenger, and one back passenger was looking at my black primered POS looking 240...lol. He gave me a nod to go, so I gave him a nod to go and we went...............holly sh**. I smoked him... not like a roll, but like bus and a half. I'm just happy with my project so far and very surprised.

hahahahha!!! excellent!

I looooove love love ****ing with SRt4s, Evos and Stis.

The newer STI is the only one that gives me a run for my money unless the others are heavily modified.

Just the other day I left work and saw an Evo Id never seen before. Get on it to catch up and I see he takes off. We are runnin through the gears and I stayed with him the whole time but was 3 cars back from the start.

I loved it cause it was being worked on by the local tuner shop and they were testin it out. I bet they didnt expect me.

I still desire more power though.

stock for stock on my srt4 I roll my buddies evo, his is 03. My sr20 isn't stock However. A stock sr20's wouldn't stand a chance against an evo or an sti. I'm just really impressed of what the little sr20 motor can do. Here's all I have done for power. 3 point valve jobs. Port match intake and exhaust. MR manifold, 3"downpipe, cat-delete, 2.5" catback. XS frontmount intercooler, Koyo Rad, 255 walbro, greddy spec 2 boost controller -set to 13 psi. s15 turbo. SAFCII. I think that's it for power. There's that HKS BOV - that's just for noise however ..lol. Oh, I might have a reprogrammed computer because my idle never tries to dies with my HKS BOV, unlike my buddies 240 with also an sr20 and HKS BOV installed.

3 run with the New sti and its dead even from a 40 mph to 80. Anything after that I start taking the lead. t25 apexi neo tuned at 7 psi with n62 maf. On a 70% gutted hatchback.

a sr20 on 15psi walks evos and stis all day man. my buddy had one pushing the stock t25 to its limit, front mount, 3inch exhaust, DP, and thats it, theres another friend with a sti, he has a gt12r turbo front mount, exhaust and a tune, and dues sr20 walked all over it. so sti guy got pissed and got a gt35r... to be continued

My good friend has a stock 16G turbo 03 evo with 272 cams, AMS tune and exhaust. He is making 305 to the tires. We are close in the 1/8th if he gets a good 60ft, like 7.70 to 8.0 depending on the start but I kill him in the quarter. His best run is a 12.6@108 to my 11.7@117. I am making 340whp to his 305 and he weighs 3200lbs. to my 2600. A 70mph pull on the interstate isn't even funny. I can stay even with him in 4th gear if he is in 3rd. If we're both in 3rd I completely walk off from him. I would say that a stock turbo sr20 should run even on the highway with a stock EVo or STI. S14's won't have quite the weight advantage that I do, and don't even think about drag racing an AWD car without drag radials. They will kill you off the line, but you should eat them up on the interstate!

haha i love threads like. this.

cause hearing about guys beating evos and stis with stock srs makes me happy.

every one that rode in my 240with the sr on stock boost set it was way faster then anyother stock sr they had ridden in.

and knowing wahta stock sr can do against srt sti and evo. gets me excited to get my car on the road.

400 Rwhp on a 240, street car only, will be real fun. since everyone around here thinks sti's and srts are the Sh*t.

got races lined up with one of each all ready and am sure i will have a couple more really soon too.

I've always wondered how my 240 would compare to Evo's and STi's. I'm not too worried about the SRT 4's and Cobalt SS. I've seen Evo's and STi's take off on the freeway and they really didn't impress me. Atleast the ones that I've seen.

Only had my sr for 2 weeks before my head misfortune so only got to race a little.My modsstock engine, s15 turbo, 18psi, dyno tune, greddy fm, koyo rad, 550'sVSs14 sr w/s14 turbo and BM's like mine except he had exhuast mani and big *** 18's

I beat him by half a car the whole time but i was pretty impressed, VVTI must really work well

UMm when I was KA-T I was pushing 9psi on a basic t25 set up with tuned ecu and beat a SMG e46 M3 by about a half a car. Heres a vid when im on 6psi

SRT4's are pretty quick TBH but I've walked ALLLLLLLL OVER a Slobalt SS from a dig where he'd have the only chance in hell at staying, and I had a heatsoaked SMIC, with a boost leak. Cobalt SS's are garbage. I've taken a wrx that looked like an STi but I didn't get to check it's badging.

Actually my buddy has a Cobalt SS. If anything, that supercharger doesn't help the Cobalt off the line at all. From a dig he wheel hopped all the way down the 1/4 mile to a 14.8 at 100 mph. He easily walks fairly stock SRT4's on the freeway though.

raced a 04 stage 2 sti from 0-110 and i beat it by 2 cars....stock turbo 14lbs of boost and 4.40 gears on street tires.....and i spun all of first gear...i would have beat him by like 3-4 cars if i launched right

You can beat a cobalt ss with the ka engine. atleast i did, and mine was bone stock. i got the ss off the line and everything.

beat most v8 on a roll like the 5.7 GTO, trans am ws6, mustang gt500? I think thats what is callled. And its even run with the mustang cobra from 30-90. I couldn't get into 4th so I lost.

I have only had my S13 at 340whp for 9 months and my kill list includes.........

1/4 mile track at beachbend raceway(Bowling Green KY, home of the vette)

04 Viper ARC car by (3 lengths)Superperformance cobra replicar with roush 347 stroker (very close)several c6 LS2 vettes with bolt ons cam and head package 02 Z06 vette with street tires(would have beat me with slicks)Every EVO and STI that I have ever raced that had a stock turbo......

340whp and 2600lbs.......come on, if you aren't scared to drop the clutch at 7000rpm and can get a decent 60ft time, then there aren't very many (street cars) out there that will just drive around you, but you always run into that guy!!!

Man i belive any sr with 250+ can beat most things on the street. If your at 300/400 Hp you WILL beat 90% of anything you run into i promiss!!!! i have a s13 blacktop with my old turbo "T25" on 14Psi i beat countless evos, sti's, srt4, g35, 350z, mustang gt/cobra/saleen.....Now i have a s15 T28 on low boost wich is about 275 10Psi and i have been rapeing everything since im also do in for tuneing with 440 injectors, z32 maf and hopeing for 15psi or 20 :D dont let ANYONE tell you **** about the sr20 there are to me one of the unbeatable motors that will WOW you everytimeLong live the SR20DET!!!!!!

The sr is excellent but my fav motor... But i'd have to say that the most unstoppable 2.0 four cylinder is the 4g63.... My hit list with my sr...

several g35's and 350z's07 gt mustang(cams,gears,i/h/e,) Lost by 2 carsseveral sti's and evo'scorvettePorsche carrerahavn't met one srt-4 that could beat meturbo fc'sfd rx7List goes on and on...

are the car scenes not as big where you guys are?? in orlando its pretty big, lots of fast and big turbo srt4's, camaro's, lots of modd'd evo's, a **** load of turbo civics, lots of other fast 240's. And how are you going to be at 275hp at 10lbs on a t28?

^ it seems possible to make 275 hr on a s15 t28bb at 10 or so psi.

around here really modded cars are few and far between. most people just do exhuasts and mild bolt ons and then do ricer things.

it seems liek the euro tuner crowd is the largest around here. with subies being next. its cool having the that oppertunity to be the rare car. but then it sucks to be by your self.

the meets down here in orlando are pretty big, with my set up im just a little fish in the lake. any dyno sheets on s15 set ups? im wondering how much id put out at 19 with my mods...

Damn man the meets and races in orlando are BAD *** i want to go out there once im tuned there are alot of people that are fast down there.

yea they def are, UCF area on tuesday nights, lots of very very fast civcs. just sucks that no matter where you go there is always ricers...look up on you tube CFT evo VS busa, lots of good filmed races right in the heart of orlando. Anyone happen to do the p0ker Run here?

so i got a chance to check ot the kids srt4 that i am going ot race. it isnt anything special at all. looks nice that is about it.
