thanks, the yellow is some kind of reflective spray paint. i bought the headlights like that from someone on here. the front isn't actually as high as it seems. the passenger side looks higher because the fender was damaged by the previous owner and is sort of bent out of shape, so the wheel gap just looks huge. if you look at the front left fender, you'll see how its really sitting.

i actually bought these headlights off this same exact seller. but iirc, he told me that he opened up the headlights and did the yellow himself, so i don't think it was actually oem. the pictures don't do the wheels justice. in person, they don't look overly big but that is just my opinion. the old wheels were nice, but they were not wide enough and too sunken. i think the old ones were only 7" wide and they only had 225's on them. in autox and at the drag strip, i wasn't getting enough traction. i wanted to go with a setup that would give me good results on any track but also be streetable. these wheels cost me $375 shipped from VA to NY. most of these g35 wheels i see go for $400+.

Personally you need to lower the front some, then get some aero going... You've already got the front lip, now get some OEM sideskirts and rear valances! ASAP!

I like the new rims more then the old rims. I was thinking about getting some 18's off of a 350z. Seeing your car helpped me decide that im going to get them. Post more pics if you have any, and i do like the sil80 conversion.
Guys I belive the cost of this set up is clear"The whole setup ran me R1000" Never heard of an "R" denominational bill. The ratio of "R100" to a US Dollar is rougly the same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns.

the exhaust is an apexi n1 dual exhaust. agreed, lower would be better but i only have tein springs and kyb shocks, so for now, its staying as is. plus, any lower and i'll have to do some fender work to avoid rubbing. i just dont want to deal with that right now.

Did you run a 35 series tire in the back because you couldnt fit a 40? Other than that, car looks pretty good.

no, i think the 40 series would fit fine in the back. but this is also my dd and i wanted to keep the diameter of the tire as close to stock as possible, so that was why i went with the 35 series. Works wheels are up for sale here: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/338276

Not trying to be an ******* but from what I see in the before and after pics your old wheels look much better than the new ones. Maybe its the 18" and the ride height now. The new wheels look like junk wheels spray painted black. They look like ****.

just saw his car yesterday in person. looks sex. needs aero, but the look his car has is awesome. going from just the pics on here... it looks mediocre. in reality, looks mean as hell. Dan is a guy of function/badassery. I've had the pleasure of riding in that car at 15lbs boost. HOLY ****. on a stock turbine... i can see why he wanted a larger contact patch with bigger tires...

he already said what the exhaust was. Man, I like the wheels. I'm selling a set right now because I need wider ones for he S14 with 50mm rears. I am not a fan of the black paint because I think they look better with the Aluminum finish. Your old wheels look nice too, but I think its too early to say anything until you decide on aero and we see the complete package.
all that talk about what is rice and what isn't needs to happen somewhere else. Please be respectful of the OP and keep his thread on topic.
