  oil presure gauge

my oil pressure gauge is starting to go out so im going to replace it with an defi aftermarket gauge and i was wondering if i could just put the new sensor in the factory location or do i have to tap an oil line. also if i do replace the stock sensor with the aftermarket gauge sensor will it mess with the ecu or will it just light up a light on my dash?

the us sender is on the passanger side of the motor, if you look at the drivers side there is a port plugged where the jdm sender goes, you can use that port and not effect your stock gauge, which btw has no effect on the ecu, just goes to the gauge, not usre if it;s metric, npt, or bpt?
