Ok i removed my timing chain guides earlier today... The top 1 was already cracked off and the bottome one was still there but had alot of wear on it. I removed them both and put everything back togeather the right way... Well im screwed now cause my damn car wont start. I was messin around wit the distributor a bit and got it started twice but it was bogging real bad and i had to keep the gas to the floor to keep it on... Backfiring and crap... Im just wondering if any of you geniuses out there know how to get her back up and running....

PLease HELP ME......

Did you set the motor at top dead center before you took off the guides, and did you mark your distributor or use a timing light?

both of these could be the problem, and if you didnt set your motor at TDC dont run it because the cam timing is off.

Ok this is crazy. I figured it out... I had to TDC it with the distributor in... Then take the distributor back out... Turn it to how it shows in the guide to be inline with number 1. tightened everything back up... Got in the drivers seat said a prayer and turned the key. She started right up.... Like nothing ever happened....
