When I checked the 02 sensors the right bank(wide band) was running really lean while the left bank(narrow band) was running normal. I am pretty sure the right bank turbo is seizing. So my question is, is there anyway to check the condition of the turbo without pulling the engine out?
I'm not sure you can accurately compare a WB to a NB readout. What mods do you have? Are you attaining less boost than you used to? Is the turbo on that side noisy?
I have any other mods other then an HKS intake. Is it normal to have a WB on one bank and not the other? I thought they were just for tuning and then you switch them out after you were done. It feels like im boosting less as performance is quite less but the gauge is reading pretty much normal. As far as the noise goes, nothing is jumping out at me.
OH! Are you sure there is a WB on one bank in the stock location? They normally don't have the right connector to plug into the stock harness connector. If you do, change it out for a stock NB. The ECU won't read and react to that accurately. Also, it can be left in if you have a A/F meter but you need both stock NB's. It can't go in the stock location as that's way too close to the heat source to last long. How do you know it is and also how do you know it's reading lean if the car is basically stock?
wideband is not compatible with the stock ecu. wideband is also not compatible with narrow band gauges, and narrow band sensors are essentially useless anyhow, what makes you think one is a wideband? if you think you have a turbo problem, get it up on a liftand pull the intake pipe, it's a huge PITA but you can then have a positive answer
before pulling it apart you might want to check for codes, might just be saftey boost
