Hello,

I'm new here (although have been a frequent reader).

Have had a Super Black 2008 Nissan Versa S (Sedan) since August '07.

Love it; however Nissan's customer service has been somewhat lacking.

So here is the problem: recently when I drive the car it makes a "click-click" noise or ticking when driving between 20 and 40 MPH. I'm guessing this is coming from the right rear passenger side (from the tire). I've looked at the tire and could not find where it is coming from.

So I called my Nissan dealer and told them this and their response was:

"Well we have a note that it could have been related by a nail in your tire" (I was told this very sarcastically)

Which I had a nail in my tire awhile back, but had it fixed. This clicking noise had been happening before this.

In regards to Nissan's customer service, I also took the car there because I have had my windshield crack near the bottom right front with no visible impact. I have found a V on here with the same problem, and I found another with the same pattern crack! Anyway, their manager told me a rock hit it after .5 of second when he inspected it. He then gave me a quote of $700 plus to fix this.......

Anyway, enough of my rant; I love my Versa and was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this clicking noise?

Um, it's not Nissan that's giving the bad service, it's the dealer that's the problem.

Perhaps you should try another dealer.

BTW the clicking noise sounds like it could be a rear wheel bearing.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

Remember that not all dealers are the same. If you have a bad experience at one dealer, try going to another. You don't have to go to the dealer that sold you the car even for warranty repairs. Also if you are particularly dissatisfied with the way you've been treated by a particular dealer, you can always discuss your issues with Nissan USA. They tend to take such things pretty seriously.

I must say, I have had nothing but positive experiences with my dealer in Thunder Bay, Ontario. And trust me, they know me very well as I am in there way toooooooo much with small yet anoying problems. If it was not for the supper service, I garanty you the car would of beed sold.

Regarding your noise, maybe talk to some else in the service department. Or even stop in and see if they can sit in the car with you to hear the noise. If it's anything like my V, the noise will dissapear when the tech is in the car....lol

Hope this helps
