Okay,So I'm usually not a personalized plate person unless it really makes sense. My plates are due tomorrow, so I've been procrastinating on buying new plates. I went online today and after much thought, I picked this plate. My reasoning behind it is multifaceted. This is not the exact plate number I got, but it's a close variation.

1) Arizona has a lot of photo radar cameras, i've heard that they cannot always decipher between D's, O's and 0's... this may give me a slightly greater chance to get out of a photo radar ticket.

2) I like symetry... I think that the consistency of this plate looks clean... from 10 feet away and farther it just looks like all 00000's across the plate.

3) my wife works in education, so the extra money spent on the plate will help her schools with funding.

4) If you read the bottom of the plate, it says "Live the golden rule"... by putting Do0o0 on top of it, it kind of completes the sentence... in essence "Do live the golden Rule"

5) I think the new picture in the background is Really pretty.

What do you guys think? Is it corny, or will it look okay?

Picture for reference only... I did not get "LMOOOO" on my plate... My plate will be DO0O0

Your picture looks like a big X to me. Don't know it it's on my end or your end.

My SIL got a ticket from a red light camea. The picture they send left no doubt about the license number. You might have better luck putting a 9mm hole in each one of the cameras...

*edited*Ok, it worked that time. Are you really getting ISIT2P on your plate?

Here is what I think. Many may disagree but I am opposed to any personal plates, bumper stickers, or anything to make the vehicle stand out. Too many crazies, jealous misfits, etc out there. Some of our younger members in HS or college have posted issues that they had with taking their G's to school.Just my $.02BTW the only stickers that I have are the ones that support the local police on my rear window and they are small.

It's actually more beneficial for you to just not run the light. Wanna know why?

There are a few cities across the country that are taking out cameras due to lost revenues. I think the article was posted on the forum a while back, but here it is again:

http://www.engadget.com/2008/0...re-w/

Basically, the red light cameras are in place for revenue, not public safety. After reading a few articles in search of the one above, I found that Lockheed Martin (who leases many of these camera systems) forbids the cities engineers from making modifications to the intersections that would reduce violations and increase compliance.

Lockheed Martin only gets paid if the cameras are effective and will push for the cameras to be taken down if they aren't producing revenue.

So if we all stop running red lights, and push for longer duration yellow lights, we can get rid of the cameras, reduce accidents, and stop getting outrageous tickets (upwards of $400 here in CA).

Just got a call back from the DMV... apparently they thought that since my new plate request was D0o0o that I was making some pre-adolescent reference to fecal material. Needless to say, they denied my submission...

I then asked them to submit the plate number GEEXXXV (XXXV being the roman numeral for 35)and they immediately thought that it was reference to pornography...

Since G35 and GE35 were already taken, my final decision was GEE 35 and they approved it.

Oh well... I like it.

As long as you like it is all that matters.

For me it was a toss up between NBYOND or TI 3V0M ( you see "move it" if you look at it in the rearview mirror) but since Ky doesn't require plates on the front of the car i went with NBYOND. Its actually funny when you are going down the road and you will find cars following trying to figure out the plate.

I don't think anyone will have the slightest idea what it is supposed to mean. You may get some funny looks from passers-by (not that we have many of those in a G) The extra revenue might be offset by the loss in revenue from evading tickets you deserve. "Dooooo" live by the golden rule would sound alright from a person not trying to decieve law enforcement and violate a law which protects me and my family. That picture is fugly. So I have to say that, based on the choices you provided, it would look corny. But- its your money and your car. Spend/decorate it however you like.

I'm not 100% sure either... I assumed that it was referencing the fact that I always have a .45 on my hip. I don't know...
