i read the sport compact car article and im alittle foggy 1. if i go with the 300zxtt rear spindle will the 300zxtt shock mate up to an upper mount that will fit my s13 upper mount bolt pattern? 2. has anyone had any problems finding a propper 240sx spring rate for a 300zxtt rear coilover (aftermarket or otherwise)? 3. will a 300zxtt rear coilover limit my ride height settings on an s13(i am seriously considering a full threaded coilover anyway)?

it seems a popular mod (s14/300zxtt spindles) so this stuff probably isnt an issue right?

p.s. brakes and unsprung weight are super important so thats why i wanna do this

pps i would really appriciate ppl not messaging me like im stupid....there is alot of ignorant crap on the street and im not trying to add to it.....can i get an amen

1. not sure what you're asking, but the Z32 rear suspension is basically the same as the S13/14, strut length might be different, frotn suspension is similar only at the LCA an TC rod, the Z32 uses an upper a arm that the S13/14 don't so frotn struts most likely won't transfer witout some fab work

2. if you are running coil overs you can get any spring rate and free length you want from any decent supplier, just figure otu what rate and length you want and call GC ro whoever (GC is quite exensive on their coils, summit is a lot chaper but less selection)

I'm not quite sure ewhy you want to use Z32 parts? if you get a good set of coilovers they can be rebuilt and revalved to suit your needs, and of course as I already mentioned spring rates and free length si pretty much unlimited

thanks man....better late than never.......since i made this post i got my stuff sorted out. i bought a nice pair or alluminum uprights and brakes for the rear and s14 for the front and jic make the coilovers i need. tien wouldnt even consider my application and told me it was unsafe to try it. my last hope for electronic dampening adjustment is cusco buy ill prob go with the jic stuff.

if ur in the engineering forum ull probably be interested in my results so ill post any unsprung wieght savings i gain or lose with the z parts.

my goal for the car is c5 z06 performance for under 20k.
