Nissan has unveiled the new 7 seater version of the Qashqai due to go on sale this October in Europe.

From Nissan News Bureau Europe:
Nissan unveils QASHQAI+2

GOING TWO BETTER As market rivals start to catch up with the segment defining QASHQAI, Nissan has already moved the goalposts: the top selling compact Crossover has expanded its offer with a seven-seat version. Called QASHQAI+2, the newest Nissan builds on the success of the original QASHQAI by adding space and versatility to create the first Family Crossover.

It's starting to look more like the Rogue. I am willing to bet the farm they have used the Rogue's longer chassis. The rear sheet metal is a bit different though. Notice the higher roofline, larger hatch glass, and reprofiled rear passenger windows. No doubt to increase rear headroom and improve the outward view. I still prefer the Rogue's sleeker styling vs. the Qashqai's boxier look.

Photo of the 3rd row seats. Nissan states they are "Designed for children or as occasional seats for small adults up to about 1.6m tall" I guess this works for young families...

I do like the split folding rear seat with centre armrest and height adjustable headrests:

I'm not motivated to search, but I wonder if Renault is marketing the same CUV with a slightly different look?

Two years ago, we vacationed in Portugal and rented a Renault that had the same look as the Nissan Versa.

I don't seen anything in Renault's lineup that matches the Rogue/Qashqai. The global C platform used by the Rogue is however shared with the Renault Megane (sedan, hatch, wagon, cabrio) and Renault Scénic MPV (micro van)

The Nissan Versa (Tiida in Europe and Japan) is based on the same global B platform as the Renault Clio and the two look very similar.

Whooo, check that moon roof! That's kind of snazzy!

Yes, the moonroof is huge. It may even be larger than the Panaroof in the X-Trail (sold in Canada in 05-06'):

Event the dual moon roof in the new Murano is nice (I believe the rear portion is fixed):

I take that one back... all bets are off. The Qashqai +2 has a longer 108.8in wheelbase vs. the Rogue's 105.9in.
