  megan lowering springs?

have yall seen these their cheaper then most of the others i just wanted to know if the stock shocks will work with them... here are the stats tell me what you think Megan Racing Performance Lowering Springs are constructed of SAE 9254 Cold Wounded Steel, one of the strongest materials available. The high tensile strength and phosphate powder coating delivers outstanding spring rates that are extremely durable and resist premature “sagging”.
The result is a spring that specifically offers racecar handling, yet maintains smooth and comfortable ride characteristics. Carefully matched springs rates provide exceptional handling, response, control and balance. These springs offer a generous drop to your car while remaining very “streetable” by having enough clearance to avoid bottoming-out; and the lowered center of gravity improves performance and increases stability, as well as enhancing the appearance of the vehicle. (Note: Spring rates and drop amount vary by different vehicle application and chassis load.)
- Color: Orange

- Lower rate: 2" Front, 1.75" Rear

- Springs rate: 250F & 220R

- MSRP: $129.95

i can get them for 105 bucks i was wondering if that spring rate would be fine with stock shocks or what... and if any of yall have heard any good stuff about this company thanks in advance...

I have them on my car. Stock struts are fine. They are extremely stiff but you can seriously haul butt around corners with them. I really enjoy doin flat out around the corners by the park where the kids play. I like how they scatter and scream "mommy".

Well the Versa forums if not the world. Buy the springs you want. It doesnt matter what ricers think. If you can afford coilovers definatley go that route, springs are stupid if you got $$$$$. Don't forget to put gay graphics on your car for an added 10hp too.

They are incredibly stiff. I have to pretty much duct tape my wife to get her to ride with me cause they are so stiff. Yes, I am being completely serious in the fact that I actually duct tape a person and forcibly insert them into my vehicle while scaring children with my maniacal driving near the park. Anyhoo, on a smooth road the springs give great handling. I drove with them to Florida and back and it was hellacious. They do give a lower drop than the others though. On the other hand, everyone will hate you for using them.

Yes, my rims are too spindly and my car is the wrong color and the rims are too big/too small, etc, etc, but I like her.

Rear

Front

Included stickers that add +5 whp each

It just rained so it's all nasty.

Please use more discretion in the future before calling someone a dumba5s.
If you you took my first post literally then I really would hate to live in your world. I was just gettin under your skin with the riceboy. It's all good in the hood. BTW I payed a shop to do my springs cos i live in an apartment complex and can't work on my car here. And I'm incredibly lazy.

i dont know about the R&D megan had with the versa, but as far as i know Tanabe has excellent R&D with the Versa because of the TIIDA in japan... so i would have to say that i prefer the Tanabe.... i have a set but havent installed them.... besides that who wants to throw on a set of $100 springs on their car? hope your purchase was a good one....

If any of you morons actually think paying $100 or $200 bucks for springs will make a difference, then you should kill yourselves now. Springs do nothing but screw up your car no matter who makes them or how much R&D is done. Ask the guys with blown struts about that then ask what springs they have. I bought springs for the same reason all of the ricers on here bought springs, for the drop cos the versa looks freakin stupid stock. How much you pay only matters if you are tryin to impress the honduh guys you want to emulate. Deaf has the right idea investing in coilovers, too bad most of you losers can't afford them. Go put a primer shopping cart handle on your car and fuk off.

For one get your facts straight, have you have even had a car with manufactured drop springs? they are not all the same, Eibach has used two of my vehicles to develop and R&D springs for, there is a lot of testing involved.....were not talking cutting coils or heating them up to drop them .....and if you just joined this forum to troll and rag on people find another forum, what useful information have you provided to this community? Every post I see from you is the same......keep it up and you can expect to get

Finally an interesting thread that will hopefully settle the main ingrained(inbred even) problem with this forum. The lack of mods for the V has created a culture that accepts any mod, No matter how ricey or stupid. Just because it's different doesn't make it good or acceptable.

And since when is Konig considered cheap? And what performance mods have you done to your car? A vacuum cleaner intake and a Fart can for 8hp is hardly a performance mod. Your still gonna lose to a civic if your stupid enough to race one. You didn't see Nick Hogan in a V. There's a reason for that.

I take offense to that, I have an uncle that has been handicapped since birth. You are an idiot for saying such a thing, and for that I hope you learn what it is like to be a handicap prick. There is nothing wrong with Geo Metros either.

Anyone have any comments about springs?

Or should I just call in a mod to lock the thread?

no performance mods? springs, strut bar and tires for handling (will be getting the under brace and rear sway bar with my stimulis check) and in take and exhaust, sure i guess its a vaccum cleaner intake ( i have no clue wtf that is supposed mean) and no it not a fart can exhaust.
i know my V isnt fast, i just wanted to make it more fun to drives from day to day. i have people asking me to race all the time and i dont because i dont street race and i know for a fact i will lose

Let us know YOUR opinion of the Megan springs once you install and try them for a while. I am most interested in ride quality compared to stock. Thanks!
