The Non-Manual seatbelts?

I think those are ugly as hell and Ive always found them ANNOYING in any car Ive been in that has them..

In Canada we got the Normal seatbelts in ALL of them, well I know my 1990 and my 1992 both were the same..

Wow, I didnt think anyone would really have liked those...

I guess they could make life a little easier though, I always thought that they were kind of ugly myself.

I like to crack my door when I back up into parking spaces, and I've been choked like 10 times by the damn thing going forward with my head stickin' out. I hate them, especially since you STILL have to manually buckle the lap belt.

i never once had a problem with it choking or being annoying and i never had to worry about buckling up, was done for me haha. as far as trading, id love to but would require some intense fabrication. id rather just buy another hatch....project 09?

Don't mind the auto belts one bit, and I don't even bother with the lap belt unless I'm about to do something stupid which isn't very often. Never done anything close to choking my self.

I like the auto seatbelts personally, anoys all of passengers Most of the time I just use it as a normal seatbelt and unbuckle/buckle both of the belts.

I have seen my wife get dropped to the ground because she got out of my s13 to fast and the seatbelt was right in her way I like them though, it is mandatory to wear them when driving on military facilities. M.P's usually don't give warnings when you forget, so they are convenient for me.

I actually kinda like the auto belts. 90's Ferrari had them low (on the door sill). I wish I could integrate that with my S13 - auto 3 point belts!!! Get in, start the car & blast off

the "Canada Sux" response is kind of sad...

Obviously you HAVENT been here or you are just messing around because I have NEVER met an American who has came here and not absolutely Loved it!!

I love the U.S. though aswell, I try and go there as much as possible.. It is a nice change and I ALWAYS find GREAT deals shopping!

In the next few years when U buy a 90-96 300ZX I will be buying it from the U.S., they are ALOT more rare here and people want an ARM and a LEG for them!

The 240s were built at a time when all cars in the US had to have some sort of passive restraint. You'll notice they either have an airbag or auto belts.Besides being a PITA, I think the auto belts just encourage people to not wear the lap belt, which means they both become useless.

I always seem to get hit in the head by the top buckle as its moving along the track when I get out too fast.

Aside from being chocked out on occasion, I actually like the auto belts. It's cool cause you never have to worry about buckling up since it'll do it for you. Besides...if you really hate them you can either:

A) unbuckle them (wouldn't recommend it), B) do a custom modification (umm...still wouldn't recommend unless you have money to blow...in which case you should quickly proceed to donate to the 2008 Donjuanmon Fund at your local Western Union), ORC) buy another ride (DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend it!)

I bought a 91 ford probe as a winter beater and it has those awful seat belts.

I broke one once when I tied a christmas tree to the roof and forgot the ropes were in the way of the seat belt tracks. Closed the door and the belts ran into the rope, the track got all screwed up and the belt wouldn't move.

^^ I was told that auto companys stoped making the autobelts, because people would not buckle there lap belt and when they got in a head on crash the shoulder belt would slice there head off! Idont know if it is true or just another urban legand.
