The craziest shifter knob I ever had was a pair of vice grips on a 75 Datsun 710 . I had to drive that way for two months until I could scrounge a shifter from a 610 truck. It was longer and was probably like shifting with that screwdriver..I hated that car.....

Wow, all of those shift knobs are CRAZY..

I put a new shifter in my 1990 240SX, but I REALLY like the stock one in my 1992, It has the nice little pocket the shifter sits in and the knob is like PERFECT size...I don't have the heart to change it, Their is a niceness to a clean stock interior...

Yeah, I was going to say their is a little too much "DISCHARGE" for my liking...I am a firm believer of the old saying "Cleanliness is next to GODLINESS!"

I'm assuming its for drifting purposes. When the knob is sticking in your face like that.. its easier to shift when you don't have to reach down for it... kinda like the wrc guys with their e-brake handles sticking up in the sky.

Having a tall shift knob keeps your hand closer to the wheel, If you've ever seen race cars they have short throws but long handles. The farther you have to reach the less control you have

Dude that looks pretty sick. My brother got hella wet when he saw that. He loves weapons.... People should deff keep posting pics of random inexpensive shift knobs. Mines in pretty bad shape, so hopefully I see one I like.

But isn't it more likely to brake if you were to shift it hard or something
